Saudi Arabia donated 44 million US dollars to support public school students in Lebanon
iloubnan.info - September 21, 2008

BEIRUT - Media reported on Saturday that Lebanon’s Prime Minister Fouad Siniora announced that Saudi Arabia donated 44 million US dollars to support public school students. Siniora made this announcement during a press conference after his meeting with Saudi Arabian ambassador to Lebanon Abdulaziz Khoja at the Grand Serail. He said this donation is to cover tuition fees and books for public school students from Kindergarten through Grade 9 for the academic year 2008-2009. The Prime Minister added that a smaller part of the funds would be set aside to support the educational body. 'Saudi Arabia has always supported Lebanon's economy as well as its stability and development,' Seniora told the journalists that attended the news conference.
