According to the daily newspaper "L'Orient-le Jour", the Kuwaiti real estate company Al-Taameer is planning to construct a new 13-floor hotel from the chain Ramada, in downtown Beirut. According to the official statement of the company, reported by the bulletin of Bank Audi, the project that will cost 17 million dollars will include around hundred rooms and suites, restaurants and meeting rooms as well as a business district.
Al-Taameer Real Estate Investment, created in 1978, operates in the real estate sector as well as in the management and hiring of malls, hotels, and commercial and tourist complexes.
Last year, the company obtained the exclusive franchise for the Ramada ensign for Lebanon, Egypt, Morocco, Libya, Jordan, and Iraq from the international hotel chain Wyndham (parent company of Ramada Worldwide) that manages over 900 hotels in more than 25 countries.
