BEIRUT - Maha El Khalil Chalabi has signed her second book entitled "Phoenician Art - Expressions Neo-Phoenician" published by the library Antoine, at the Salon du Livre francophone in Beirut and in the presence of a large number of politicians, authors, artists and economists.
In an elegant edition, full of photos depicting the arts and Phoenicians mosaic over the centuries, this book presents six thousand years of civilization, strong culture, beliefs and manual genius. The book also mentions legends taken from the Phoenician heritage from which Maha El Khalil Chalabi has extracted all the richness and diversity.
The author explains that she not only wanted to present art in its ancient Phoenician "dressing", but also chose to develop and adopt a new modern identity, inspired by Phoenician heritage. Thus the Phoenician genius is in full swing in this work and the author’s innovation only enhances its key elements. Testimony of historians and archaeological documents highlight a treasure that combines artistic heritage and modernism.
