Miriam Fares and Duraid Laham in “Hala and the king”

BEIRUT - Arab Director Hatem Ali declared readiness to start shooting a new motion picture inspired by the well known play “Hala and the King” from 1967.

The play was originally performed in 1967 in Damascus starting the legendary lebanese singer Fairuz along Nasri Chams EL Dine, Elie Choueiry, Hoda, Joseph Nassif, William Hoswani and Melhem Barakat.

The motion picture entitled “Hala and the king” is been set to start with the well known Syrian actor Duraid Laham and the lebanese singer Miriam Fares to play the rold or Hala which was originally played by the legendary Fairuz. Ayman Zaidan, Ahmad Ahmad and Nidal from Syria along Antoine Kerbaj and Rafiq Ahmad from Lebanon will also participate in this work.

However the production will be a Syrian one, script and scenario for the Rahbani brothers in partnership with Ghadi Rahbani.
