Shakira, who is involved in several foundations to improve the lives of children in Colombia and Latin America and is UNICEF goodwill ambassador, received the American Latino Media Arts awards from the hands of “desperate housewives” Eva Longoria. She’s an international superstar of epic proportions and last night Shakira was all about celebrating her Latina heritage at the 2008 American Latino Media Arts Awards.
The “Hips Don’t Lie” songstress maintained her penchant for a fabulous wardrobe with a gorgeous sleeveless black belted dress, completed with studded platform high-heels.
And she wasn’t just there to smile and look pretty- Shakira was one of the night’s honorees as she was the recipient of the Humanitarian Award for her charity work.
