Alejandro Artigas, who used to manage the company, claims in court papers filed in Los Angeles that Sami Hayek "wrongfully" sought his removal and charges that the Hayeks engaged in "fraud, mismanagement, and/or abuse of authority.”
Hayek is also named as a defendant in the suit. Artigas is asking the court to dissolve the company, North Las Palmas in California, and appoint a receiver to run the business. Sami Hayek has responded through his lawyer, Bob Weiss, that the company was an investment deal that was no good for anyone, and that they’ll fight the lawsuit vigorously.
