Darwish honored in Tyr

The cultural movement in Lebanon honored the late deceased Palestinian poet Mahmoud Darwish in a celebration held in “Basel Al Assad’s cultural Center” in Tyr, in the presence of the ministers Ali Khreiss and Abd El Majid Saleh, PLO representative in Lebanon Abbas Zaki and many public figures.

Zaki spoke at the beginning about Darwish’s talent and inspiration, and later on, Hussein Saad gave a speech on the behalf of As-Safir Editor Talal Selman. Then, the president of the cultural movement the poet Bilal Sharara invited people to take inspiration from Mahmoud Darwish’s heroic life.
The poet Hilal Fran recited a poem and Zahi Wehbeh spoke of his close relationship with the deceased poet whom fought greatly for the Palestinian cause.

Ahmad Kaabour chanted a song written by Mahmoud Darwish at the end of the occasion.
