Damascus has decided to produce Fairuz’s new musical album, and Ziad Rahbani her son confirmed that songs for the Legendary Lebanese singer Fairuz are ready for five years now but weren’t recorded yet due to a lack of production.
Doctor Hanan Kassab Hassan, the festival organizer, stated in an interview to France Press newswire, “We would like to produce her record for sure” and wondered, “How is it possible that new composed songs for Fairuz aren’t produced yet?”
Ziad Rahbani also stated in an interview to the Syrian Sham FM radio station on Sunday that, “the songs in this album have been ready since 2003”. He later declared that “Fairuz sang 3 songs from the album which was rumored to be entitled “Allah Kbir” (God is Great) the last time in Beiteddine Festivals, since the album was supposed to hit the market soon afterwards. However the project was postponed due to the current situation in Lebanon and the lack of production”.
