Lebanese Culture Minister, Rony Araiji representing Prime Minister, Tammam Salam and the Head of the French Senate, Gerard Larcher opened on Friday the 22nd session of the Francophone Book Fair at Biel, organized by the Union of importers of books in Lebanon and the French Institute in Beirut.

Larcher said that "this exhibition is a successful story as it reflects the vitality of Lebanese publishing houses, libraries and creativity of authors and writers".

"Francophonie is an open world", he added.

On another note, Araiji said that the presence of Larcher has proven the genuine friendship between Lebanon and France.

The minister touched on the political stalemate and the paralysis of the institutions, calling on the political factions to eliminate all the obstacles and elect a president.
